Reflection

My role was important because without the policy writer, the public will not know about the policies, and will assume that they will stay the same. Nobody will vote for
Obama if that happens. The most important part of my job was to understand the issues. It was nessicary to communicate so that the speechwriter knows what to write about. This was accomplished by walking over and telling the other members of my group what the policies were. I learned that the presidential candidate must think up solutions to many issues, that group communication is vital to the success of the group, that working in a campaign group involves a lot of research, that one must understand the issue to write about it, and that the election is really complex. These are important to consider before working for a campaign group. I would describe this project to a person outside the school as a 'project used to better understand the work involved in the election'. This project will make me a better voter because I will look at, and know all the issues.

Tax

Obama will provide tax cuts for the low and middle income people. Obama will even out the economy- wealthy people will have slightly higher taxes than low income people. Middle income people's taxes will not change.

Reflection By: Erin

My job was important for the overall campaign because I informed everyone about what Barack Obama believed and what his plans were for the future. The most vital part of my job was getting in what Barack Obama believed and his plans for the future. It was necessary for me to coordinate and cooperate with my team because I needed to talk with them about the policies and the background with them. This was accomplished by talking with them.
During this project I learned that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and studied law. I also learned that he cares about the taxes and has elaborate plan so the economy is even. He also has a plan to stop the was in Iraq reasonably. Finally, I learned Barack Obama has a plan for education. These facts are important because you have to know the candidates plans for the future so you know which one you want to vote for.
I would describe this project to a person outside of school by telling them the jobs and then talking about what I have to do personally. Lastly I would describe them about the reflection. I think this project will help me become a better voter when I am older because i will learn who to get the facts on the presidents without watching all the debates.

Reflection IAIN

My role was important on helpinng John Mccain because anyone who sees the polices will see how John Mccain will be a great president. The most vital part of my job was reseaching the facts so I was not lying. It was necessary to coordinate with some people on my team because the speech writer needed to know the polcies. I told him where to find it instead of delving into a conversation where it would take too much time. Five things I did not know the president did, well it's kind of hard because my mom told me all about itbefore this so I dont know wat to put exept 5 things I knew the president did, which are: #1.I knew the President made important decisions that effected america.#2.I knew the president chooses the vice president.#3.I knew the president had to pay a lot of money to win the campain.(a good example of this is Obama verses Nader.)#4.I knew the president had to make the other canidate sound so bad that even if they did not like the canidate who made the other one sound bad, they wouldn't want the other one.#5. I knew that the president had to make themselves sound as perfect as possible.

Speech by: Erin

Hi, I'm Barack Obama. Here's a little back-ground for those who don't know me and those who would like to now me a better. I was born in Hawaii on August 4 and was raised in Kansas by my single mother. Though times were hard I learned many values that made the man I am today. I took loans to get through college at Harvard Law and graduated in 1991. Then I joined a small law firm, taught constitutional Law and stayed active in my community. Now I am married to my beautiful wife Michelle and we have two lovely daughters Sasha and Malia.

I believe that our country is a country of change. There have been some bad changes in the past but I am looking forward to correct them. I believe that health care should be affordable and that every parent should have the right to take their child to the doctor when they get sick. Economy needs to change. I will ensure that the middle class will be successful, growing and that America will complete global economy. I have a plan to end the war in Iraq responsibly and reasonably. That's what I believe.
I have plans for the future. For education i have a "Zero to Five" plan that will provide support for children and their parents/guardians. The "Zero to Five" plan will stress the care and learning for the young. Taxes Have always been an issue until now. Middle class family's taxes will be cut and no one making less than $250,000 will have their taxes increased. I will do everything in my power toward making America a better place. Thank you and God bless you all.

Obama will lead the USA to climate change.

Reflection by Maddy

My role in the overall campaign of the candidate was important because it helped voters to know about Barack Obama. The most vital part of my job was Barack Obama's biography. It was necessary to coordinate and cooperate with my team members because if we didn't, we would have gotten nothing done. This was accomplished by us working together and getting along. I learned that Obama has two children, that Obama's birthday is August 4th, that he is in his late forties, that he wants to help our education, and that Obama's father left when he was a baby. These five things are important to know because if you didn't, you wouldn't know about him, and you would not be an informed voter. I would explain this project as a fun, "kid's campaign" project. I think that this project will make me a better voter when I grow up because it will start me with good habits about being an informed voter.

My role in the overral campaign of the candidate was important because it helped the voters know what Obama wants to do for this country. The most vital part of my job was to find out what Obama wants to do for this country. It was necessary because otherwise, I wouldn't have done this well enough. This was accomplished by us working together. I learned that Obama wants to help our education, I learned his birthday is August 4th, I learned that Obama is in his 40's, I learned that his father left him when he was a baby, and that he worked at Chirstian church at Chigago. I would explain this project as a fun " kids election" project. I think this project will make me a better voter because this will help me know what the Senator wants to do for this country.

Education

Throughout America's history, education has been the vehicle for social and economic mobility, giving hope and opportunity to millions of young people. Our schools must prepare students take their place as committed and engaged Americans. It must ensure that all students have a quality education regardless of race class. Barack Obama is committed to strengthen our public schools to raise our country's greatest natural resource- The American people. Obama believes that we must equip poor and struggling districts, both rural and urban, with the support and resources they need to provide disadvantaged students. Often our leaderspresent this as an either and/or debate. Obama belives we have to change these ways to do both, and has to offer innovative ideas to break through the political stale mate in Washington.

Polices by Iain

McCain would be a great president, which is why I've chosen 5 topics to talk about.

#1: Warfare. What are we going to do with the people in Iraq? If we do what Obama says, and draw right out, the Iraqi people will get mad that we did very little to help them, and more to hurt them, when we did say we would help them, and will light a spark of terrorist attacks. If we stay there they we will win, they will stay there, and when we win then we can get oil.

#2:Economy. When we win the war in Iraq, we will have tons of oil from Iraq, so we can use some for ourselves and sell some to other countries, increaseing our economy.

#3:Healthcare.With a flourishing economy, we will be able to get medical conditions way up and increase Life Expectancy for even the 3rd class.

#4:Education.If we elect Mccain, the economy will florish (said above). Some of the money will go to schools, and they will have the tools they need to teach the kids so they can get good jobs and help the ecomemy even more.

#5:McCain co-sponsored the Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (S.1915): To bar slaughtering horses for human consumption.McCain voted for the Horse Slaughter Amendment (9/20/2005): to stop export of horses for slaughter. I think he must like animals!!!
